Marco Polo believed Sri Lanka to be the most fascinating place in all the world. I would agree, and I think you will find it mesmerizing. Sri Lanka is definitely one of the most diverse travel destinations on the Planet. The ever changing landscapes and mixture of culture here is amazing. So much has been preserved so well. There are many historical remnants of the many different Countries that have ruled Sri Lanka. You will find influences from Great Brittan, Portugal, and the Netherlands ~ in addition to the historical roots of the indigenous Sri Lankan people ~ and of course India. Sri Lanka is truly a sparkling cultural diamond. Together, we will visit ancient ruins, historical and religious monuments and see some amazing landscapes and architecture.
And then we can go on a Safari!

Udawalawe National Park is without a doubt the best place in Sri Lanka to see wild Asian Elephants. The park is consistent with the large number of elephants roaming the park. There is no season or variation in the herds. Due to warm temperatures, the most comfortable hours to visit the park are in the mornings and evenings. Evening safaris will generally provide exquisite sunsets.
A photo is worth 1000 words, but some things must be experienced. To be one with Nature. To hear the birds, and animals. To glide along the water in a hand carved canoe. Every moment is an experience that you'll not soon forget. We want your time in Sri Lanka to be unforgettable and we will take you to some magical places.

Seema Malaka Buddhist Temple, sits in the heart of bustling Colombo, Sri Lanka, perched over Beira Lake. This temple is mainly used for meditation and rest, rather than for worship. It was originally constructed in the late 19th century. Seema Malaka Temple is a part of the Gangaramaya Temple and is situated only few hundred meters away.
National Museum of Colombo, also known as the Sri Lanka National Museum is one of two national museums in Colombo. It is the largest museum in Sri Lanka. The museum contains collections of much importance to Sri Lanka such as the regalia of the country, including the throne and crown of the Kandyan Monarchs, as well as many other exhibits telling the story of ancient Sri Lanka.
Koggala's Stilt Fishermen are one of the most iconic sights you're going to see driving through Sri Lanka. This centuries old tradition all but disappeared after the historical Tsunami of 2004 that devastated coasts along the Indian Ocean ~ but eventually the fisherman returned to their way of life. Koggala is 86 miles from Colombo (each way) but well worth the drive if you have enough time.
Hindu Temples (kovils) are numerous in Colombo, with a particularly high concentration in Pettah. On Sea St, Kathiresan Kovil and New Kathiresan Kovil are both dedicated to the war god Murugan (Skanda), and are the starting point for the annual Hindu Vel Festival held in July/August, when the huge chariot is dragged to various kovils on Galle Rd in Bambalapitiya. A serene unassuming 'favorite' Hindu temple is the Sri Ponnambala Vaneswarar temple. Unlike the traditional multi-coloured temples found in most places, the Sri Ponnambala is carved from granite stone, top to bottom. Dimly lit, it allows shards of natural light to pierce through the walls and ceilings. The architecture of the temple and the natural light beaming down gives it a magical, mystical, spiritual feeling. Our clients rank this particular temple a must see.
Galle Face Green is ribbon strip of land between Galle Road and the Indian Ocean. It is the largest open space in Colombo. It's a very popular destination for locals, vendors, teenagers, lovers, and kite flying. It's a happy spot where you can indulge in your favorite pastime next to the sea under the open sky. On the weekends, it is filled with families, tourists, picnickers and food vendors. There are two lovely hotels that border the Green. The Ceylon InterContinental is on one side and at the other end, the quaint Galle Face Hotel. The Green is also used as the site for Sri Lanka's National Day Celebration held annually on February 4th.
Colombo City is the commercial capital and largest city in Sri Lanka. The metropolitan area has a population of approximately 5.6 million, with approximately 752,993 residing in the city center. Colombo is a busy and vibrant city with a mixture of modern and colonial buildings and ancient ruins. It is a major tourist destination, located on the West Coast of Sri Lanka. The best way to see all of Sri Lanka is a car hire with driver. We have local insight and the cost is quite inexpensive. We can take you to all Sri Lanka tourist places. From ancient times, Colombo's large harbor placed it in a strategic position along the East-West sea trade. Ships and traders have been stopping in Colombo for at least 2,000 years. These days, you can find almost anything you want in Colombo. Perhaps the most interesting shopping area is PETTAH, where the locals barter, haggle and shop. For high end goods, a good stop would be at Crescat Boulevard Mall. If you're hungry, we can make a stop for lunch or a snack. We can suggest. You can decide. We traveled for 20 days around Sri Lanka during the month of January 2017. We planned to have a private driver at the beginning of our trip while we explored the cultural triangle (Anuradhapura, Dambulla & Kandy). Prior to leaving we connected via Facebook, and arranged for his private driver service around the cultural triangle. When we were picked up from our accommodation in Negombo we were met by Dilhan. He had a spacious vehicle with window curtains and good air-conditioning. We immediately warmed to Dilhan because he's friendly, knowledgable and personable and genuinely interested in getting to know you. He also gave us great insight into how the foreigner/local pricing works, what food to avoid, where people may rip you off and certain modes of transport to be aware of - all valuable tips that helped us with the remainder of our tip. Dilhan gave us the opportunity to get a taste of authentic Sri Lankan culture/life when he invited us into his family home to meet his parents and friends. This was a truly incredible experience and we wouldn't have been afforded this opportunity without meeting Dilhan. His hospitality was beyond amazing. Although we sadly said goodbye to Dilhan in Kandy, he remained in contact with us throughout the rest of our trip to ensure we were alright and helped us arrange other private drivers and tours (i.e. jeep safari in Yala national park & Blue whale watching in Mirissa) that were at decent prices. Dilhan is a humble person who is fun, very trustworthy and an excellent driver. We highly recommend Dilhan for organising a private driver for your Sri Lankan adventures.
We just finished a great 10 day trip through Sri Lanka, thanks in part to Dilhan our driver/guide. He was very open with suggestions of what to do and see but never pressed us to see anything we didn't want. He was great with our 2 year old son and was willing to make any detours and stops which we wanted even at the last minute. I would definitely recommend him for anyone who is going to Sri Lanka.
Looking for someone to assist with your trip plans, suggest an itinerary, book a hotel, pick you up at the airport, provide transport, be patient, drive safely and be helpful, then Dilhan is your man.
